Firefighters respond to grass fires

 Roseville firemen responded to a mutual aid call from Abingdon Fire Department on Saturday, April 11, at 5:25 p.m. at the intersection 80th Ave. and 120th St in Berwick Township for a brush and grass fire. Also responding were Swan Creek, and Berwick departments. The blaze turned in via 911 calls was quickly extinguished.

 At 11:43 p.m., Saturday, Roseville firemen were called to 256 100th Ave. in Ellison Township, for a ditch fire. A farmer had been burning grass and weeds in a ditch along the road, an re-ignited

They were joined by the Smithshire Department, while the Swan Creek firefighters were on stand by in Roseville.
