Michael G. Adcox

Michael Grant Adcox, Elk City, Okla., died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2005, in Sayre Hospital.

He is survived by one daughter Ashlynn Faye Adcox, Sayre, Okla.; his parents, James and Delores Adcox, Falls of the Rough, Ky.; two brothers, James “Hank’’ (Amy) Adcox, Somerset, Ky., and Kenneth (Shelly) Adcox, Clinton, Okla; three nephews; and aunts, uncles and cousins in Abingdon and Galesburg.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

He graduated from Avon High School in 1981. He attended the Reese World Wide College of Auctioneering in Mason City, Iowa.

He moved to Elk City in 1986 and worked at the sale barns in Elk City, Oklahoma City and Wheeler, Texas, and was employed by J. D. Stables at the time of his death. He also worked as a horse trainer and horse shoer.

He was a member of the Triple Cross Cowboy Church.

Services were held Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005, in Kiesau Memorial Chapel, Clinton, Okla. An additional service was held Saturday, Feb. 19, at Black Lick Baptist Church in Kentucky, with Brother Oliver Sanders officiating.

Burial was in Black Lick Cemetery.
