Farrell M. Hallbick
Farrell M. Hallbick, 79, Abingdon, died at 2:20 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, 2004, at the Care Center of Abingdon. He was born July 5, 1925, on the family farm in Warren County, the son of Arthur and Helen Nell (Farrell) Hallbick. He married Wilma Florine Oct. 7, 1961, at St. Patricks Catholic Church, Galesburg. She survives. He is also survived by two daughters, Patricia Hallbick, Webster, Texas, and Annette (John) Hough, Clinton, Tenn.; one sister, Helen (Earl) Danforth, Galesburg; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Donald Hallbick. He had lived in the Abingdon area all his life where he farmed in Warren and Knox counties retiring in 1986. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Harry E. Wiles American Legion Post #381. He was a member of the Knox County Farm Bureau. Services were held Monday, Sept. 27, 2004, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Presley officiating. Burial was in Abingdon Cemetery. Military rites were conducted by Harry E. Wiles American Legion Post #381. Memorials may be made to his church or American Legion Post #381. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel was in charge of arrangements. |
