Frances Keilholtz, 82, Reinbeck, Iowa, died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, Iowa, of natural causes.
She was born Sept. 2, 1926, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Edgar and Hazel (Deardon) Hickson.
She married Leo Keilholtz on March 16, 1946, in Elkader, Iowa. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son, Leslie (RuthAnn) Keilholtz, Waterloo; two daughters, Lois (Dennis) Iversen, Macomb, and Sharon Freerks, Phoenix, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Mark (Melanie) Keilholtz, Florida, Courtney (Nathan) Rebman, Macomb, Kyle (Rhonda) Freerks, Arizona, Angie (Quint) Eslinger, Macomb, and Kristie (James) Michelous, Arizona; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was also preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
She was raised in the Reinbeck, Iowa area and attended school in Reinbeck.
She and her husband were inseparable and truly united as one.
She loved to spend time with family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. All who knew her enjoyed her sense of humor.
Private family graveside services were held Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, in Reinbeck, Iowa.
