Mildred Dickey, 92, Macomb, died at 2:02 a.m., Friday, Jan. 16, 2009, at The Elms Nursing Home, Macomb.
She was born Sept. 18, 1916, in Gorin, Mo., the daughter of Reginald and Edna (Tibbs) Hancock.
She married Henry Dickey on Aug. 23, 1938. He preceded her in death May 11, 1966.
She is survived by one daughter, Joyce Petterman, Macomb; two sons, Larry Dickey (special friend Vickie Thompson), Macomb, and Gary Dickey, Princeton; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Linda June Dickey, one son, Gail Dickey, two brothers, Gene and Earl Dickey, and one great-great-granddaughter, Destiny Agans.
She lived in Macomb since 1946. She worked as a LPN for St. Francis Hospital and McDonough District Hospital in Macomb before her retirement in 1986. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Macomb.
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 19, 2009, at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home, Macomb, with the Rev. Wally Holt officiating.
Burial was in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Macomb.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church or The Elms Nursing Home Activity Fund.
