Rosalee E. Carpenter, 74, Canton, formerly of Marietta, died at 8:31 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, at Graham Hospital, Canton.

She was born May 3, 1934, in Ipava, the daughter of Clarke and Irene (Clemmons) Matheny.

She married Verle Carpenter on July 25, 1963, in Bardolph. He preceded her in death Jan. 29, 1999.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Phyllis Rogers.

Graveside services will be held at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009, at Bushnell Cemetery.

Martin-Hollis Funeral Home, Bushnell, is in charge of arrangements.
