Donald D. Dilts
ELLISVILLE-Donald D. Dilts Sr., 74, Ellisville, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at 5:07 p.m. in his home.
He was born Friday, Sept. 14, 1934, in Rock Island, the son of James M. and Cora E. (Kreider) Dilts.
He is survived by two sons Don D. (Jeri) Dilts Jr., Canton, and Scott G. (Chasity) Dilts, London Mills; 10 grandchildren; a twin brother, Ron Dilts, Ellisville, and a brother, Charlie Dilts, Ellisville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister.
Donald was born in Rock Island and reared in Ellisville where he had lived his entire life.
He served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1963 during the Korean War.
He worked for Banner Mine, Buckheart Mine and Midland Coal Company; he also farmed. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid coon hunter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and mushrooming.

Services were held Monday, March 9, 2009, in the Corman Memorial Home, Avon.
Burial was in the Ellisville Cemetery, Ellisville.
