Alice B. (Strandberg) Anderson
CASSVILLE, Mo.-Alice B. Anderson, 94, Cassville, Mo., formerly of Galesburg, died at 2:15 a.m. Friday, March 6, 2009, at home. She was born May 17, 1914, in Wataga, Ill., the daughter of Peter and Minnie Strandberg. She married Stanley Anderson in Galesburg, Ill., May 7, 1932. Surviving are two sons, Ronald Anderson, Cassville, Mo., and Robert Anderson, Anderson, Ind.; three grandchildren, Cheryl Combs, Abingdon, Ill., Brett Anderson, Anderson, Ind., and Jason Anderson, Lexington, Ky.; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and four sisters. Alice was a homemaker. She originally left Galesburg in 1956 and lived in Hialeah, Fla., until 1978. From Florida, she moved to Tubac, Ariz., and lived there until returning to Galesburg in 1986. She moved to Fayetteville, Ark., in 1993 and then to Cassville in 2003. Graveside services were held Thursday, March 12, 2009, in East Linwood Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Johnson officiating. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
