AVON-Evelyn L. Kreider, 96, Avon, died at 5:11 a.m. Sunday, March 29, 2009 at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

She was born June 22, 1912, In Industry, Kan., the daughter of William L. and Anna (Cain) Eaves. She married Donald L. Kreider Dec. 1, 1929, in Rocky Ford, Colo. He preceded her in death March 24, 1971.

She is survived by one son, Steven M. Kreider, Bushnell; two daughters, Patricia (Robert) Paulsen, Lakeland, Fla., and Beverly (Ronnie) McGrew, Avon; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eunice Griffith, Macomb, and Norma Leifold, Cross Lake, Minn.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.

She was a member of Home Extension and the Grandmothers Club.

Services were held Thursday, April 2, 2009, in Martin-Hollis Funeral Home, Bushnell, with Pastor Dianne Duncan officiating.

Burial was in the Bushnell Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Bushnell Recreation Center.
