GALESBURG-Dean Bryan, 93, Galesburg, formerly of Knoxville, died at 12:37 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2009, at his residence.

He was born March 19, 1916, in Bushnell, the son of Andrew L. and Hattie Pearl (James) Bryan. He married Gladys Williamson April 10, 1946, in Macomb. She preceded him in death June 18, 1997.

He is survived by one son, the Rev. Gary (Sandy) Bryan, Knoxville; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Donald Bryan and James Bryan, and one sister, Ailene Craft.

He attended Checkrow Community Church in rural Avon and the Assembly of God Church in Bushnell.

He farmed and also worked at Caterpillar Tractor in Morton before retiring in 1986.

Services were held Saturday, April 4, 2009, in Martin-Hollis Funeral Home, Bushnell, with Dr. B.G. Drake, Jr. officiating.

Burial was in the Bushnell Cemetery.
