Beverly Louise Derr


ATWOOD, Colo.-Beverly Louise Derr, 70, Atwood, Colo., died Friday, March 27, 2009, at her home.
She was born Oct. 18, 1938, in Greenbush, the daughter of Ross and Doris (Suter) Ragon. She married Francis Cable in 1956 and later married Eldon Sprague in 1963. She then married Victor LeRoy “Lee’’ Derr in 1969. They all preceded her in death.
She is survived by one daughter, Wendy Kay Cable, Sterling, Colo.; one son, Kyle Sprague, Sterling, Colo.; two grandchildren, Danielle Rodriguez, Sterling, Colo., and Jake Sprague, Fort Morgan, Colo.; two great-grandchildren, Gonzalo Rodriguez and Soldado Gamez; three stepchildren, Rick (Kandy) Derr, Montrose, Iowa, Dean (Susan) Derr, Keokuk, Iowa, and Danny Ray (Charlotte) Derr, Burlington, Iowa; two brothers, Dan (Vera) Ragon, Galesburg, and Clair (Ruby) Ragon, Bushnell; and one sister, Martha (Fred) Harn, Bushnell.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Barbara Hammond, Genevieve Epperson and Teresa Overhulser; and nephews, Mike Hammond and Danny Ragon.
She graduated from Avon High School.
She moved to Colorado in 1970, where she helped Lee farm, raising calves and driving the sugar beet truck. She then worked at Eastern Colorado Services for the Developmentally Disabled, retiring in 1999.
Cremation rites were accorded.
Burial of her ashes will be at a later date in Greenbush.
