Susan Delahunt

Susan Delahunt, of Aurora,  formerly of Avon, died Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at Denver Hospital Hospice, after a four-year battle with cancer. 

 She was born May 22, 1952, at Saunders Hospital, Avon, to Roger and Virginia (Hampton) Delahunt. 

 She is survived by her husband, Ben Salem; her father, Robert (Mary Lou) Delahunt; one brother, Charles Delahunt, Avon and Galesburg; aunt and uncle Jack (Eileen) Delahunt, Chattanooga, Tenn., plus a host of friends who also helped with her care.

 She was preceded in death by an infant brother Jack K.; her grandparents; an aunt Kay Delahunt Haier; and uncles, William Delahunt and Wayne Hampton. 

 Susan graduated from Avon High School and attended the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. 

 She lived in California and Colorado before receiving a BSBA from Regis College in Denver in December 1990. She last worked for Colorado School of Mines and Gamma Phi Beta Foundations. 

 Cremation rites have been accorded. 

A memorial service was held in Aurora.  Local arrangements are pending at Corman Memorial Home, Avon.
