Lawrence Patrick, 95, of Macomb, died at 2:18 p.m., Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at Grand Prairie Assisted Living Center, Macomb.
He was born Sept. 3, 1913, in Scotland Township, McDonough County to Frank and Beulah (Pollock) Patrick.
He married Katherine Mae Pace Jan. 27, 1935, in Chicago. She preceded him in death Feb. 1, 1998.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; one infant daughter; Sara Jo, one grandson; John Creasey, one step-grandson; Bradley Brookhart and one brother, George Patrick.
He is survived by one son, Robert (Arlistene) Patrick, Macomb, one daughter, Mary (Jerry) Brookhart, Macomb, two grandchildren, Kim (Eric) McKee and Robb (Susan) Creasey, all of Macomb, three step-grandchildren, Darren (Deena) Devinney, Brad (Tracy) Devinney and Brian Brookhart, great-grandchildren, Dalton Patrick, Robert and Cody McKee and Payton, Alex, Riley and Drew Creasey, five step-great-grandchildren, Dallas, Deonna, Nathan and Reagan Devinney and Rebecca Brookhart and special friend, Dorothy.
He lived all of his life in McDonough County where he farmed. He was a member of the Scotland Trinity Presbyterian Church, formerly the Camp Creek Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of the McDonough County Farm Bureau.
He was an early member of the McDonough District Hospital Board, served on the board to consolidate the country schools and served on the Fire District Board.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday,
May 1, 2009, at Scotland Trinity Presbyterian Church with Digger Oster officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Macomb.
Visitation will be held from 6:30-8 p.m., Thursday, April 30, 2009, at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home, Macomb.
