Ronald C. Sorrells

Ronald C. Sorrells, 70, of Abingdon, formerly of Bushnell, died at 2:30 a.m. Friday, May 8, 2009, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

He was born Nov. 19, 1938, in Avon, to Leonard and Josephine (McCance) Sorrells.

He is survived by one son, Ronald Todd (Michelle) Sorrells, Rock Island; two daughters, Tammy (Dan) Sinnett, Avon and Trena (Mitchell) Khan, Ft. Madison, Iowa; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Duane (Millie) Sorrels, Macomb and one sister, Margaret Worthington, Macomb.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

He was an antique dealer and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved watching football. His grandchildren were the highlight of his life.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 11, 2009 at Martin Hollis Funeral Home.

Burial was in Prairie City Cemetery.
