Donald D. Hainline


Donald D. Hainline, 76, of Sciota, died at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, May 17, 2009, at McDonough District Hospital, Macomb.


He was born Nov. 8, 1932, in Macomb, to Fred and Florence Dertinger Hainline.

He married Donna L. Paul on May 15, 1955 in Bushnell. She survives. _He is also survived by one son, David (Peg) Hainline, Good Hope; two daughters, Denita (Steve) Clover, Dallas City and Delinda (Tim) Burke, Good Hope; five grandchildren, one great-grandson and one sister, Leah Thompson, Athens, Ga.

He was preceded in death by two granddaughters and his parents.

He served in the Air Force during the Korean War.

He farmed near Sciota for many years and also worked at Western Illinois University in the building services department, retiring as a supervisor.

He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge #322 in Bushnell.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 21, 2009, at Banks & Beals Funeral Home, LaHarpe with the Rev. Bruce Goettsche officiating.

Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home where the Odd Fellows Service will be held at 6 p.m., followed by visitation with the family until 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Memorials may be made to the IOOF Lodge #322, Bushnell, IL or to a charity of the donor's choice.
