Betty J. Webster


Betty J. Webster, 82, of Macomb, died at 6:45 a.m. Sunday, May 17, 2009, at her home.


She was born May 2, 1927, in Colchester, to Harold and Helen (Osborn) Roberts.

She married Gaylord Webster. They divorced.

She is survived by one son, Kenneth Wayne (Sally) Webster, Fairview; two daughters, Luan (Darrel) Ippensen, Bowen and Cheryl Nelson, Sciota; five grandchildren, Stephanie Nelson and Derek Domain, Christina Ippensen, Kyle Ippensen and Ethan and Cassandra Webster; one great-grandson, Troy Carter; two half brothers, Larry and Tim Roberts; one half sister, Judy; one brother-in-law, Larry Nelson; one sister-in-law, Dee Roberts; one daughter-in -law, Wanda Webster; and aunt Mary Eichelberger, Macomb.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Scott Webster; one granddaughter, Kris Kaenter; one sister Beverly Nelson; three brothers, Howard Ray, James Edward and Delbert C. Roberts and one half brother, Junior Lee Roberts.

She was a member of the American Legion Post 6 Auxiliary, a lifetime member of Macomb VFW Post 1921, Gold Star Mother, and Colchester United Methodist Church.

She was a cook at Northwestern High School, Western Illinois University Food Service and Edison School.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2009. at Jones Mortuary, Colchester.

Visitation will be held form 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, May 19, 2009. at the funeral home, where friends may sign the guestbook after 1 p.m.

Cremation rites will follow the services.

Burial of ashes will be held at a later date at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Macomb.

Memorials may be made to Macomb VFW Post 1921.
