Betty Jane Evans

Betty Jane Evans, 77, of Macomb, formerly of Cuba,

died at 1:12 a.m. Sunday, May 31, 2009, at McDonough District Hospital, Macomb.

She was born March 23, 1932, in Smithfield to Arthur "Artie" and Edith Windsor Taylor.

She married Carroll Evans in November 1953 in Colchester. He preceded her in death on May 28, 1974.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, William Evans and

one brother, Blake Taylor.

She is survived by three daughters, Janet Marlette, Macomb, Joyce (Gary)

Turner, Smithfield and Cindy Paul of Erlanger, Kentucky; five granddaughters and seven great-grandchildren.

Betty lived most of her life in Cuba before moving to Macomb in 2004.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at the

Elms Nursing Home Activity Room in Macomb with Ron Bricker officiating.

There will be no visitation. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Burial of ashes will be held at the Cuba Cemetery at a later date.

Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb is in charge of arrangements.
