Brenda Sue "Happy" Hobb, 46, of Hamilton, died Saturday, May 30, 2009, at her home.

 

She was born June 8, 1962, in Keokuk, Iowa, to Roger C. And Jeanette (Real) Butler.

She married Louis Hobb on Sept. 24, 1983, in Keokuk, Iowa. He survives in Hamilton.

She is also survived by two sons, Nathan Hobb, Montrose, Iowa and Adam Hobb, Hamilton; her parents, Roger and Jeanette Butler, Alexandria, Mo.; one sister, Debbie (Tom) Pitford, Alexandria, Mo.; one brother, Roger D. Butler, Keokuk, Iowa; her mother-in-law, Rosalie Hobb, Hamilton, sisters-in-law, Gladys (Jerry) Pierce, Monahans, Texas Shirley Hobb, Hamilton Adalee (Mike) Johnson, Blandinsville Doris (Marvin), Fort Madison, Iowa, Mary (Buddy) Bennet, Garland, Texas, Vera (John) Davis, Troy, Mich., Karen (Roger) Bryant, Keokuk, Iowa, Nancy (Bill) Mann, Monahans, Texas; brothers-in-law, Jimmy (Sherlene) Hobb, Keokuk, Iowa and Alva Hobb, Warsaw and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her brother-in-law, Stanley Hobb and sister-in-law, Rosalie Rakey.

She graduated from CCR-I school in Kahoka, Mo. and attended State Street Cosmetology School in Quincy.

She worked several jobs and made friends whereever she went.

Most recently she worked at Shellor Globe in Keokuk until her illness prevented her from working. She enjoyed making crafts, collecting smiley faces and spending time with her family. She had a big heart and will be missed by everyone who knew her, including her dog, Mickey.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 4, 2009, at 1 p.m. at the Lamporte-St. Clair Funeral Home in Hamilton with Terry Massey officiating.

Burial will be in Frazee Cemetery, rural Alexandria, Mo.

Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Thursday, with family meeting friends between 11 a.m.  and the time of the service at Lamporte - St. Clair Funeral Home, Hamilton.

Cremation rites have been accorded.
