Susie J. Meyer

Susie J. Meyer, 55, of Rushville, died at 9:45 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at Blessing Hospital, Quincy.

She was born Tuesday, May 10, 1954, in Beardstown to Albert Vernon and Irene (VanOrder) Meazell.

She married Rodney Meyer Sept. 17, 1982, in Beardstown.  He preceded her in death Jan. 1, 2002.

She was also preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by five children, George Large, Calcium, N.Y., Terry (Ginny) Large, Verdie (James) Shaw and Danny Large, all of Rushville and Shelly Rankin, Camden; three brothers, Jack (Rhoda) Meazell. Perry, Ga. and John Meazell and Jim Meazell, both of Mt. Sterling; one sister, Jenny (Jim) Miller of California and 14 grandchildren.

She was a member of the Rushville Assembly of God Church.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 8, 2009, at Worthington Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry DeSha officiating.

Burial will follow in Rushville City Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
