Esther Lee Clark


Esther Lee Clark, 93, of Macomb, died at 12:15 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2009, at Country View Health Care, Macomb.


She was born March 24, 1916, in Ewing, Mo. to John Thomas and Gertrude Lee Sublett Hurt.

She married Raymond Clark Dec. 18, 1948, in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He preceded her in death on March 25, 1962.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Anna Rossmiller.

She is survived by one sister, Lola Hurt, Macomb; two nephews, Joe Rossmiller, Macomb and John Rossmiller, Lombard; one niece, Julie Stapleton,  Navarre, Fla. and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

She lived in Louisville, Ky. for 25 years before moving to Macomb in 1972.

She worked on special advertising for the Plymouth and Augusta Eagle and the Tri-County Scribe for 22 years.

She also worked for Aurelios pizza for 15 years and 20 years at the Brown Hotel in Kentucky.

She was a member of the Macomb Assembly of God Church and the VFW Auxiliary.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at the Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home, Macomb with the Rev. Chuck Peterson officiating.

Burial will be in the Dover Cemetery near LaGrange, Mo.

The family will meet with friends one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Macomb Assembly of God Church.
