Edna Mae Miller
Edna Mae Miller, 93, of Warsaw, died at 7:50 p.m. Sunday, June 7, 2009, at Lexington Square, Keokuk, Iowa.
She was born on April 28, 1916, at the family homestead in Wythe Township to John and Mae (Bride) Miller. She is survived by her dear friends, Emmett and Linda Schrader and Bee Heisler, all of Warsaw. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mabel Morris. She graduated from Hamilton High School and Illinois State Teacher College, Macomb. She taught school at rural schools, in Elvaston and in Warsaw for over 43 years. She was a member of Wythe Presbyterian Church, Wythe Township. She was also a member of Illinois Retired Teachers Association and Security Stars through Security State Bank in Hamilton. She enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, watching birds and traveling. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 11, 2009, at Oakwood Cemetery, Hamilton with Bob Wagner officiating.
