Frances W. Watts

GALESBURG-Frances E. Watts, 91, Galesburg, died at 12:24 a.m. Thursday, May 28, 2009, in Seminary Manor.

She was born Feb. 24, 1918, in Warren County, the daughter of Neal and Verda (Goddard) Linder. She married Robert L. Watts Feb. 4, 1946, in Chicago. He preceded her in death Dec. 23, 1973.

She is survived by a brother, Arthur “Bud” (Phyllis) Linder, and a sister, Betty Armstrong, both of Galesburg.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Greene.

Frances worked in the garment industry for 50 years, working at Blue Bell Manufacturing, Gross Galesburg and Protexall. She retied in 1985.

She graduated from Galesburg High School. Frances enjoyed traveling.

Graveside services were held Monday, June 1, 2009, in East Linwood Cemetery with the Rev. Tom Ek officiating.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or Galesburg Rescue Mission.

Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
