Johnnie McCall

Johnnie McCall, 81, Colchester, died at 8:13 p.m., Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at Semianary Manor, Galesburg.

She was born Dec. 25, 1927, in Hope, Ark., to Ora Jarvis and Fairy Barr. She married George Ernest McCall, Aug. 8, 1950. He preceded her in death, Dec. 11, 1975.

She is also preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by two daughters, Angie Hinkle, Galesburg, and Peggy McCall, Little Rock, Ark.; three grandchildren, Randi and Jeremy Purcell, Kelly Ward and T.C. McCone; two great-grandchildren, Bylan and Chace Purcell; and one brother, Francis "Tib" Jarvis, Canton.

She was a member of Cochester First Christian Church and Colchester Lions Club. She worked at the Princess Theater, Colchester and Kroger Grocery, Colchester, Macomb and Canton.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 18, 2009, at Colchester United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gina Sheridan officiating.

Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Macomb.

Friends may view and sign the book after 8 a.m. Wednesday at Jones Mortuary, Colchester.
