Verla Beatrice Hamilton

Verla Beatrice Hamilton, 94, of Macomb, died at 7:26 a.m., Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at McDonough District Hospital, Macomb.

She was born July 14, 1914, to Everett and Goldie Berry. She married Charles P. Hamilton on July 2, 1933, in Rantoul. He preceded her in death Dec. 27, 1996.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Esther Gibson and two nieces.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Rea (Larry) Heiser, Bushnell; three grandchildren, Audrey Heiser, Renee Sloan, and Melanie Nemeth; two great-grandchildren, Devon Sloan and Olivia Nemeth; and one sister Ruth White, Md.

She was an appraiser in the antique business and was a member of the University Place Christian Church in Champaign.

Services will be private.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
