Dora Marie Fargusson


Dora Marie Fargusson, 76, of 19635 E. 800th Street, Sciota, died at 9:50 p.m. Monday, June 22, 2009 at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

She was born on October 3, 1932 in Chariton, Iowa to Hugh Paul and Audrey Marie Perkins Harding. She married Kyron J. Fargusson on April 25, 1951 in Sciota. He survives.

She is also survived by two sons, Kerry Fargusson, Macomb and Tracy (Kim) Fargusson, Macomb; two granddaughters, Jennifer (Tyler) Bradford, Macomb and Sarah Fargusson, Macomb; three sisters, Mary Lou (Murray) Allen, Macomb, Irene Brown, LaHarpe and Nawanda (Ron) Mehaffy, Burlington, Iowa and one brother, Paul (Kathy) Harding of Blandinsville.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Scott Fargusson.

She had lived in Sciota since the late 1950's. She worked as a bookkeeper for LaMoine Auto Body for 30 years, which was owned and operated by she and her husband.

She raced go-carts in the late 50's and early 60's. She enjoyed gardening, spending weekends on the Mississippi River and was an avid bowler.

She was a member of the Sciota Christian Church.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2009 at the Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Jim Poll officiating.

Burial will be in the Glade City Cemetery in Blandinsville. Visitation will be from 6:30 - 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to either the Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospital or the Good Hope Fire and Rescue Department.
