Patricia L. Abernathy, 62, of Vermont, died at 12:35 a.m., Sunday, June 28, 2009, at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield.

Private services will be held at a later time.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m., Friday, July 3, 2009, at Shawgo Memorial Home,  Astoria.

Burial will be in Vermont Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. John’s Hospital Cancer Research.
