Carol Carlson
Carol L. Carlson, 80, of Roseville, died at 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at the Country Manor Nursing Home, Roseville. She was born May 14, 1929 in Warren County, the daughter of Hobart and Lenora (Barnes) Osborn. She was raised and educated in Warren County, graduating from Kirkwood High School in 1947. Carol married M. Dale Carlson at the First Lutheran Church in Monmouth on January 24, 1948 and he survives. She is also survived by two sons, Robert E. (LaJune) Carlson, Roseville, and Rudy D. (Joyce) Carlson, Brimfield; five grandchildren, Tony (Charlotte) Carlson, Roseville, Chad (Jill) Carlson, Monmouth, Corey (Genet) Carlson, Las Vegas, Nev., Kyle (Karen) Carlson, Aurora, Colo. and Kelly (Joey) Mohr, Beaverton, Ore.; six great-grandchildren; three brothers: Paul (Marilyn) Osborn, Plainfield, Gene (Betty) Osborn, Sheldon and Jim (Mary) Osborn Gerlaw; one sister, Wanda (Jim) Asplund, Oneida; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Lewis Osborn. Carol was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, baking pies gardening, playing cards, playing the piano, and the organ and spending time with her family. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Monmouth, Larchland home bureau and the Larchland Ladies Aid. Funeral services will be held at11 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2009 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth with Rev. Keith Killinger of the First Lutheran Church of Monmouth officiating. Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park, Monmouth. Friends may call Thursday at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth where her family will be present from 5 – 7 p.m. Memorials may be given to the First Lutheran Church of Monmouth.
