Paul O. Adams


Paul O. Adams, 77, of Prairie City died at 11:20 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at his home.
He was born Nov. 28, 1931 in Keysville, Va. to Charlie M. and Etter (Richardson) Adams. He married Berta Meadows on Oct. 6, 1951 in Columbia, S.C.  She survives.
He is also survived by one son, Randy Adams, Table Grove; three daughters, Dorothy (Tom) Boughton, Galesburg, Brenda (Mike) Kirby, Bushnell, and Joyce (Jerry) Coons, Bushnell; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Robert Adams, Keysville, Va., and Reed Adams, Orlando, Fla.; and three sisters, Hazel Abbit, Richmond, Va., Dorothy Martin, Keysville, Va., and Pansy Sloan, Avon.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson. He enjoyed gardening and fishing when he was able and was a person who never met a stranger.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Martin-Hollis Funeral Home, Bushnell, with Pastor Dave Eden officiating.  Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2009 at the funeral home where friends may call after 2 p.m.
Burial will be at Prairie City Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
