Robert E. Akers

Robert E. Akers, 83, of Macomb, formerly of Blandinsville and Bushnell, died at 11:05 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2009, at The Elms Nursing Home, Macomb.
He was born Feb. 15, 1926, in Blandinsville to John Clinton and Rosie Alice (Cox) Akers.
He is survived by one brother, Bill (Nelda) Akers, Ashley, Mich., and one sister, Hazel Thomas, Macomb.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 3, 2009, at Glade City Cemetery, Blandinsville.
Martin Hollis Funeral Home, Bushnell, is in charge of the arrangements.
