Joseph E. Green

Joseph E. Green, 70, of Colchester, died at 8:05 a.m., Thursday, July 30, 2009, at his home.
He was born Sept. 17, 1938, in McDonough County to Johnny and Eleanor (Moss) Green.
He is survived by five sons, Bill Green, Grand Prairie, Texas, Jeff (Pam) Green, Macomb, Mark Green, Colchester, Rodney (Lori) Green, Macomb and Joseph Green Jr., Detroit, Mich; two daughters, Carla Cordova, Colchester and Melissa Green; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his significant other, Marsha Anderson, Colchester; and three brothers, John, Gilbert and Wendell Green.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one great-grandson, Brian Green, two brothers and one sister.
He was a member of the Iron Workers Local 577, an avid Cubs fan and loved hunting and fishing.
He worked for Burlington Iron Workers 557 and the Aspen Tree Service.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3, 2009, at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Colchester, with the Rev. Ron Green officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Colchester Rescue Squad.
