Robert H. Biery

Robert H. Biery, 90, of Carthage, died at 8:35 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009, at Memorial Hospital, Carthage.
He was born Feb. 27, 1919, in Carthage, to J. Henry and Esther (LeClaire) Biery. He married M. Arlene Young on Aug. 6, 1942, in Kahoka, Mo. She preceded him in death in 2003.
He was also preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by four children, Robert Biery, Miami Lakes, Fla, Ron (Sherry) Biery, Robinson, Dave (Joyce) Biery, Carthage, and Jim (Laurie) Biery, Peoria; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and his dog, Kelly.
He graduated from Carthage High School. He was a lifelong farmer in the Carthage area and enjoyed fishing.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 7, 2009, at Printy Funeral Home, Carthage.
Burial will be at Moss Ridge Cemetery, Carthage.  Visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with family meeting friends from 6-8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Memorial Hospital Capital Fund.
