M. Lucille Kenneday


M. Lucille Kenneday, 95, of Macomb, formerly of Colchester, died at 8:10 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, 2009, at McDonough District Hospital, Macomb. 
She was born June 29, 1914, at St. Mary’s Prairie, to Arthur L. and Maggie Gertrude (Carper) Bell.
She married Ralph Kenneday on Feb. 17, 1932. He preceded her in death Sept. 20, 1992. 
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Barton Kyle Keithley; and one brother, Roland D. Bell.
She is survived by two daughters, Joan Keithley Lindsay, Macomb, and Connie Kenneday, Macomb; one grandson, Bradford G. Keithley, Anchorage, Alaska; and one great-grandson, Paul M. Keithley, Gardner, Kan.
She had been the former acting Postmistress at the Colchester Post Office. She was a member of the Colchester United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14, 2009, at Jones Mortuary, Colchester, with the Rev. Gina Sheridan officiating. 
Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Friends may sign the book at the funeral after 8 a.m. Thursday till time of services. 
Burial will be at Round Prairie Cemetery, near Plymouth. 
Memorials may be made to Colchester United Methodist Church, The Elms Nursing Home or McDonough District Hospital.
