Mildred Kelley

Mildred Kelley, 79, of Macomb, died at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 8, 2009, at The Elms Nursing Home, Macomb.
She was born Dec. 3, 1929, in Macomb to Ray and Nettie (Wilson) Birdsell. She married Robert Kelley on Dec. 31, 1948, in Macomb. He preceded her in death March 14, 1972.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Willard, Robert and Donald Birdsell; five sisters, Evelyn Smith, Martha Birdsell, Lois Fuhr, Agnes Casey and Kathryn Setser.
She is survived by one daughter, Carol Kelley, Macomb; one son, Steven Kelley, Bushnell; four step-children, Donna Shields, Galesburg, Larry Kelley, Indianapolis, Ind., Sharon Roberts and Richard Kelley, both of Tucson, Ariz.; one grandson, Pat Kelley, Macomb; and one brother, Glen Birdsell, Bushnell.
She owned and operated Kelley Taxi Service with her husband for 25 years.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Services will be announced at a later date. Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
