Harvey George Stuckwisch
Harvey George Stuckwisch, 89, of San Diego, Calif., formerly of Illinois, died at 1:26 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, 2009, at Gate Manor Assisted Living Center, Poway, Calif.
He was born Jan. 16, 1920, in Warsaw, to Edgar and Mabel Neudecker Stuckwisch. He married Evelyn Schwerer on April 3, 1942, in Yuma, Ariz. She survives.
He is also survived by one sister, Hazel Voight, Highland, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Dewey in infancy; two sisters, Mabel Drennan and Agnes Cox; and one brother, Warren Stuckwisch.
He lived in Illinois until moving to California in 1942. He worked as an accountant and a real estate broker. He served in the Air Force during WW II and was a former member of the Masonic Lodge.
Private family graveside services were held Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009, at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Colchester.
Memorials may be made to Shriner's Children’s Hospital.
Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb was in charge of arrangements.
