Paul L. Trimble
Paul L. Trimble, 88, of Rushville, died at 3 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14, 2009, at Snyder-Vaughn Haven Nursing Home, Rushville.
He was born Oct. 24, 1920, in Rushville, to Roy Alexander and Edna (Courtwright) Trimble. He married Bernadine McCombs on Nov. 14, 1948, in Rushville. She survives.
He is also survived by two daughters, Jennifer (Greg) Woodrum, Macomb, and Virginia (Marty) Barsi, Colchester; one son, Douglas (Marsha) Trimble, Rushville; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild and one brother,Charles Trimble, Lexington, Ky.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Wayne Trimble.
He lived most of his life in Rushville where he worked as a butcher for Bartlow Brothers Meat Packing for many years before retiring in 1975. He was an Army veteran serving during World War II. He was an Army-Air Corp radio operator. He was a member of the Rushville Masonic Lodge and Rushville American Legion.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 21, 2009, at Rushville City Cemetery, with the Rev. A. Lee Unger officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Rushville American Legion. There will be no visitation.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
