Leroy Potter, 73, of Macomb, formerly of Colchester and Plymouth, died at 4:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009, at Wesley Village, Macomb. He was born April 13, 1936, near Birmingham, to William Ralph and Ruth (Roberts) Potter. He is survived by three daughters, Suzette (Darrell ) Roberts, Sherry (Tony) Miller, and Sharlene Inman, all of Plymouth; one son, Thomas Potter, Plymouth; six grandchildren, Donny (Jen) Miller, Crystal Miller (Chris Martin), Taylor Roberts, Michael (Sara) Inman, Samantha Inman and Emily Miller; five great-grandchildren, Hannah, Brandon, Faith and Brooke Miller and Garrett Haines; one sister, Louise (Merle) Brown, Table Grove; one brother, Bob (Judy) Potter, Monmouth; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Tim Potter. He was a retired employee of NTN Bower, Macomb. He was a member of the Carthage VFW Post # 5117 and served his country with the United States Navy from 1955-1959 in Taiwan and Singapore. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009, at Rosemont cemetery, Plymouth, with the Rev. Tom Spain officiating. A visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, at Hamilton Funeral Home, Augusta. Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation. Memorials may be made to Rosemont cemetery or MDH Hospice.
