Troy Sue Frakes


Troy Sue Frakes, 42, of Colchester, died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009, at St. Francis OSF Hospital, Peoria.
She was born Oct. 9, 1966, to Henry Frakes and Mary Lou (Palmer) Schoonover.
She is survived by her parents, Henry Frakes of Bernadotte, and Mary Lou (Sid) Schoonover of Colchester; two brothers, Greg (Gena) Frakes of Industry, and Lonnie (Billie) Frakes of Colchester; three sisters, Laurie Cox of Denver, Ill., Vickie (Kyle) Whitaker of Tennessee, and Misty Hotto of Havana; one grandmother, Mary Frakes of Industry; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews; one stepsister, Suzie Williams of Jacksonville; and two stepbrothers; Scott and Shell Schoonover, both of Cape Fair, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Howard Frakes and Richard Palmer; two stepbrothers, Stanley Preston and Sidney John Schoonover; and one stepsister, Sally Schoonover.
She had worked at Methode in Carthage and she was a member of the Carthage Eagles. She loved the family pets, Cricket, Zippy and Dottie. She loved spending time with her friends, family and loved fishing. She will be missed by all who love and have known her.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, at Jones Mortuary, Colchester, with the Rev. Clayton Hentzel officiating.
Visitation will be from 9 – 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Friends may view and sign the book after 8 a.m. Monday at the funeral home until time of services.
Burial will be in Industry Cemetery.  Memorial has been established to the family for the purchase of a Memorial Marker at the grave.
