Martha J. Taylor


ROSEVILLE-Martha J. Taylor, 72, Roseville, passed away Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, at 6 p.m. in the Roseville Country Manor Roseville.
She was born Monday, Sept. 28, 1936, in Avon, the daughter of Max and Mildred (Farrar) Bond. She married Warren Taylor Nov. 18, 1956, in the Roseville United Methodist Church. He survives.
She is also survived by one daughter, Kathy (Steve) Weston, Hamilton, Mont.; one son, Mike (Lori) Taylor, Roseville; grandchildren, Chrissy (Jeremy) Russell, Sciota, Tanya (Jason) Blakeman, Monmouth, Ryan and Matthew Turley, both of Hamilton, Mont.; great-grandchildren, Colton, Sophia, Kaden, Roy, Marley, and Cooper; stepgreat-grandchildren, Shane Pinson, Peoria, Brad (Niki) Weston, Hamilton, Mont., Melissa (Matt) MacDonald, Denver, Colo.; and her mother, Mildred Bond, Macomb
She was preceded in death by her father.
Martha was reared in the Roseville community area where she had lived her entire life.
She worked at the Axline Drug Store, and was the Roseville High School Secretary and Unit school secretary for a total of 37 years; after retirement she worked at Bob’s T.V. for several years. She and her husband sold Holland Grills where she was the number one salesman. They together started the Illinois Senior Wellness Group. She worked on the Chamber of Commerce, volunteered at the Roseville Nursing Home, was a member of the senior bowling league, and a member of the Raritan Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling and loved to have animals around, especially her dog Cuddles.
Services were held Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009, in the Corman Memorial Home, Roseville.
Burial was in the Roseville Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Raritan Baptist Church and/or Roseville Ambulance Service.
