Lurel Taflinger

Lurel Taflinger, 86, of Galesburg, passed away and has went to join the rest of her family in heaven Monday, Sept. 21, 2009, 6:54 a.m., at the OSF St. Mary’s Medical Center, Galesburg.

She was born on Sept. 21, 1923 in Point Pleasant Township, the daughter of Milo and Ertha Snook Cramer. She was married to Harvey Taflinger.

She is survived by one daughter, Pamela Taflinger, Galesburg, and six sons, Larry, Pahrump, Nev.; Mike, Bushnell; Harvey, Cameron; Keith, Alpha; Clark, Salem Ark; and Dan, Roseville; 21 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Byrda Sullivan, Macomb.

She was preceded in death by two sons, parents, husband, and one brother.

Lurel was born in Point Pleasant Township and raised in Bushnell.  She enjoyed her family and traveling.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, at Corman Memorial Home, Roseville. 

Burial will be in the Bushnell Cemetery. 

Family will receive friends on Wednesday Sept. 23, 2009 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Cormans.
