Lois J. Morris

Lois J. Morris of Bushnell died at 5:36 p.m. Monday, September 21, 2009, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria           

She was born January 2, 1938 in Bader to Ralph and Hildreth (McLaren) Cassel. She married George R. Smith.

She later married Dickie Morris on November 22, 1980 in Bushnell. He survives.

 She is also survived by one son Robert Cassel of Bader; two  daughters, Teresa  (Richard) Nicholson of Davenport, Iowa and Jane Morris of Bushnell; one  step-son-Duane (Theresa) Morris of Sandoval, two step-daughter Nadine Lee of Sandoval,  Melinda (Darrell) of Maui, Hawaii; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Keith (Charlotte) Cassel of Raleigh, N.C., Dale (Carol) Cassel of Pekin, and David (Rita) Cassel of Astoria,

She was preceded in death by one daughter-Shirley Smith, and great-granddaughter Ariel Graham

She worked for Western Illinois University in the Food Service Dept., Mosaic of Macomb and Bushnell,  and The Elms Nursing Home in Bushnell.                 

She was a member of the  Nazarene Church in Bushnell.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, September 25, 2009 at Shawgo Memorial Home, Astoria, with the Rev. Ron Ingram officiating.

Burial will be in the Bader Cemetery, Browning.

Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Fund or the Bader Christian Church.
