William L. “Bill” Prather

William L. “Bill” Prather, 84, of 222 S. Jackson St. Rushville, died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, at Culbertson Long Term Care.

He was born on Monday, March 23, 1925, in Oakland Township, Schuyler Co. to the late Clarence and Estella Curtis Prather. He married Retha Wells June 26, 1954, in Mt. Sterling. She survives.

He is also survived by a daughter, Marsha Morrell and husband Gary of Camden; two sons, Terry Prather and wife Kathy, Scott Prather and wife Angie, all of Rushville; four grandchildren, Ryan, Aaron, Jared and Maggie Prather.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Curt Prather and Vern Prather; and a sister, Pauline Skiles.

Bill was an Army Veteran of WWII and was a lifelong Schuyler County farmer. He also owned and operated Prather Trucking for many years.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28, 2009, at Worthington Funeral Home with Mr. David Haney officiating.

Interment will be in the Rushville City Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the Rushville-Industry F.F.A Chapter or Culbertson Memorial Hospital Foundation.
