PEORIA-Donald Eugene Livingston, 91, Peoria, died Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria.
He was born Dec. 29, 1917, in Elmwood, the son of Harry A. and Ida E. (Krumpe) Livingston. He married Vera C. Davis Jan. 17, 1940, in Farmington. She survives.
He is also survived by two daughters, Carol (Dale) Logsdon, Knoxville, and Sharon (David) Gilbert, Morton; one sister, Ruth Morrison, Lombard; one brother, Raymond (Barbara) Livingston, Ft. Myers, Fla.; three grandchildren, Bob (Vonda) Jones, Germantown Hills, Carla (David) Kaser, Knoxville, and Chad (Michelle) Gilbert, Washington; and nine great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister and one son-in-law.
Donald worked for J. H. Benedict Company Inc. in East Peoria since 1946, later becoming part owner of the company, where he worked as a director.
He was a member of First Federated Church in Peoria and was a previous member of Farmington United Methodist Church. He also was a member of Farmington Masonic Lodge 192; Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Peoria; Mohammed Temple Shrine; and the Order of Eastern Star, Fairview Chapter 99.
Services were held Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, in Farmington United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mark Graham officiating.
Burial was in Yates City Cemetery.
Wilton Mortuary in Peoria was in charge of the arrangements.
