Robert Allen Glines
Robert Allen Glines, 66, of Hamilton, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009, at 6:30 a.m. at Keokuk Area Hospital. He was born on May 23, 1944 in Keokuk, Iowa, a son of Ralph Robert and Dorothy Renfrow Glines, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents. He is survived by one son, William Glines, Quincy; one foster-son, Shawn Talbert, Canton; aunts and uncles including Betty Roth, Denver and Ruth Clark, Plymouth. Robert lived with his grandmother, Ada Glines for many years. He attended Hamilton schools. Robert was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He had worked in area factories and repaired lawnmowers. He enjoyed fishing. Visitation will be held Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009, 2 – 4 p.m. at Lamporte - St. Clair Funeral Home,a Hamilton. A flag presentation by Hamilton V.F.W. Post 5256 will be held at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at a later date.
