Glenn D. Sticklen
Glenn D. Sticklen, 79, of 416 S. Campbell, Macomb, died at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, at the Heartland Health Care Center. He was born to Harry O. and Glenola Baumgardner Sticklen Oct. 10, 1920, in Macomb. He married Mary Marjorie Watson July 14, 1943, in Macomb. She preceded him in death Nov. 10, 1996. He is survived by a sister, Donna Wayland of Macomb; a son, James D. Sticklen of Macomb; and a daughter, Mary Jane Sticklen of Aledo. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harry J. Sticklen. Mr. Sticklen was a graduate of Macomb High School and attended WIU for two years. He served overseas in the Army during World War II. He was a mail carrier in Macomb from 1945 to 1974. Mr. Stricklen attended First Presbyterian Church, played in the National Guard Band and was a member of the Macomb American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars, the McDonough County Historical Society and the Rocking Chair Club. There were no services or visitation. Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donors choice. |
