Jess J. Davidson

Jess J. Davidson, 77, of Hot Springs Village, Ark., formerly of Macomb, died Jan. 25, 2000.

He was born June, 20, 1922, in Verdi, Iowa, to Gladys Louella (Coakley) and Charles Wilbur Davidson. He married Dorothy Davidson. She survives.

He also is survived by two sisters, Wilma (Damon) Featherlin and Mary Bloomfield, both of Macomb; and three daughters, Janice (Larry) Wayland, Sharon (Bill) Butcher and Debbie (David) Taylor, all of Macomb; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jerald Davidson; and a sister, Evelyn Loring.

Mr. Davidson served in the U.S. Army Signal Corp in North Africa and Italy during World War II.

He was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars in Macomb, Macomb Elks Club, Macomb Bowling Association and Macomb Country Club.

He attended Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines of Hot Springs Village.

Services were held Jan. 28 at Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines with Rev. Sam Pope officiating. Cremation rites were accorded. Caruth Village Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Local services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Fe.b 12, at Macomb Christian Church.

Memorials may be made to the North Garland County Boys and Girls Club, 5050 N. Hwy. 7, Jessieville, AR 71909; the Macomb Elks Club; or the charity of the donor’s choice.
