Boyd B. Logan
Boyd B. Logan, age 85, of RR, Abingdon, Ill., passed away at 7:50 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg, Illinois.
He was born Oct. 21, 1914 in Gladstone Township, Henderson County, Illinois, the son of Thomas and Iva Burrell Logan. He married Zelma Martin on Nov. 5, 1938 in Burlington, Iowa. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Gordon Logan, Decatur, and Rollan Logan, Colorado Springs, Colorado; one daughter, Rochelle Eberle, Williamsfield; one brother, Eldon Logan, Lincoln; three sisters, Mildred Wheeler, Cuba, Ada Heller, Murphysboro, and Jeanie Kerker, Blue Lake, California; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one grandson, three brothers and three sisters.
He lived near Abingdon for the past sixty years where he also farmed. He worked at Butler Manufacturing for thirty years retiring in 1981.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, Illinois with Reverend Raymond McLaren officiating.
Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel, Abingdon, was in charge of the arrangements.
