Eleanor Hsien-Hua Chu
Eleanor Hsien-Hua Chu, 82, of Macomb, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2000, at 8:56 p.m. at the Heartland Healthcare Center in Macomb.
She was born Aug. 15, 1917, in Jiling, China, to Chuan-Chien and Ron-Shu Tsai Niu. She married Hsien-Min Chu April 4, 1941, in Chungking, China. He died in 1970.
She is survived by three sons, Tze Yao (Margaret) Chu of Albuquerque, N.M., Arnold (I-Ming) Chu of Minnetonka, Minn., and Felix (Nancy) Chu of Macomb, and five grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Mrs. Chu was a homemaker all her life, and accompanied her husband to various diplomatic posts in Argentina, Mexico and Austria for the Republic of China.
She attended the First Presbyterian Church in Macomb.
Before moving to Macomb, she had lived in Albuquerque and Minnetonka, and had attended the Albuquerque Chinese Baptist Church.
Cremation rites have been accorded, and memorial services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Macomb at a later time. Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb is in charge of arrangements.
